The Bends is a handmade two-colour linocut print built around curved shapes and layered forms. I wanted this piece to feel simple but strong, using movement and contrast to create something graphic and balanced without becoming overly busy.
I print each edition by hand from carved lino blocks. The two colours are layered carefully to keep the composition clean while still allowing the natural texture of the process to show through.
