‘Land Ahoy’ is a bold, graphic linocut print inspired by classic maritime imagery and storytelling.
A sailing ship pushes through dark, choppy waters, heading toward the safety of the shore. A lighthouse stands firm in the distance, cutting through the storm and guiding the way. The entire scene is contained within a glass bottle.
Printed using a 2 colour reduction linocut technique, the image is built up in layers, with each stage carved and printed by hand. This process gives the print its distinctive texture and slight variations, adding depth and individuality to every edition.
